To begin, using sandpaper, gently sand the paintbrush to smooth any rough edges or bumps and make it acceptable to add polymer clay. Bake the paintbrush to remove any excess moisture.

Next, condition your clay by kneading it until it's soft and pliable. Roll it out to a thin thickness of clay to cover the brush shape.

Next, use your patterned stamps to create texture and design on the handle of the paintbrush. You'll also use the face mold to create the queen. While the clay is raw you can embed a metal crown. It can withstand the heat of the oven. You can also use message stamps to add a personal touch to your project. Use liquid clay to attach the raw clay to the paintbrush. If you're adding any embellishments make sure they are heat resistant OR wait until everything is baked before you glue them on, such as rhinestones or beads.
Once you're satisfied with the design, bake the paintbrush in the oven according to the instructions on your polymer clay package. Allow the paintbrush to cool completely before moving on to the next step.

Lastly, using the brown paint patina the design by adding paint and then wipe off excess using a towel.
